Verifone Omni 3750 Not Working

November 1, 2012 | Posted in News

If your Omni 3750 or Omni 3740 dual communication credit card terminal is not working let Global Processing help you. These terminals and their software have been classified “End of Life”. Effective November 1, 2012 the Verifone Omni3750 and Verifone Omni3740 will stop working on various processors. One of these processors is Chase Paymentech. There are a number of reasons for this:

• PCI Security Standards require upgrades from 1024-bit to 2048-bit encryption for all POS solutions. This affects the Omni 3740 and Omni 3750 terminals using NetConnect.

• The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has set 2048-bit encryption to ensure secure transmission of data, including credit or debit card account information.

• The software has reached its life capacity due to memory limits being reached. The software can no longer be updated to support association compliance mandates.
